4th Annual Green & Lean 5k

The Green and Lean brings together two organizations, City of Charleston's Keep Charleston Beautiful and Lowcountry Earth Force, who are working to improve the quality of life in the Lowcountry. The proceeds from this event benefit local school-based environmental education programs.Thank you to all of our runners and volunteers who joined us on October 10th for our 4th annual Green & Lean 5K!
We had a great turn out and even with the humid weather we had a blast spending time with everyone who came out to support this great event and the two organizations it helps fund, Keep Charleston Beautiful and Lowcountry Earth Force.
We are thrilled to announce that even with over 200 people at the event we only created 1/2 of a bag of trash! All other items, including the cups, were composted and any untouched foods were given to Crisis Ministries Soup Kitchen. Thank you to everyone for making this a "green" event!
